I have put about 3 nights work into The Hillside Travelers from Little House Needleworks. I am using DMC only, except for the tree, I had enough of that cresent color to do the trees.
This is Happy Jack from the Halloween issue Just Cross Stitch. He is soo colorful!! I love to work on him. He is also done with DMC, and I plan to use some sparklies on him with the teeth and the green spots.
And this is Hope by Brooke Nolan, also from the Just Cross Stitch Halloween issue. She is gorgeous!!! Just a note, the BS on her face is off, but there is a correction chart on the JCS website. I am sorry to say that I emailed Brooke Nolan about that and asked her another question over a week ago and she never got back to me. :( But I still love this beautiful girl, she is lovely.
I fell in love with this kit from Lanarte, Japanese Girl today:
She is pricey so I will be saving her for a Christmas gift. She is done on black, ack!! But I don't care really' I have looked for just the right Japanese or Chinese design to do for a long time and this is it. She is up at ABC Stitch Therapy and AStitching Bits and Bobs and of course the Lanarte site.
I didn't get a thing done on The Hedgehog..:( Hopefully next post will have some good progress. :)

New start, Floss toss and new magazine! :))
First, here is a little more progress on The Hedgehog by Nimue. Its strange to say I love the colors in this when there are so few, but its really beautiful in person. I have the little gnome dude stitched now but he won't look like a gnome til he is backstitched. But, yesterday I got completely distracted from this project with something I found in a magazine. :)))
And this is the magazine...there are actually 3 MUST stitch items in here for me, and several more I would love to do for fun. Mr. Happy Jack you see on the front cover, with the big toothy grin is one of them. I also love the tiny little Acorn House. But there is something else in there I started as soon as I could get the stuff together and settle down last night....
And this is her, Hope by Brooke Nolan. Such a beautiful face!!! She is loaded up with kreiniks, about 6 of them. I am going to use subs, some sparkly some not for her. I had some that were close enough to go with but some I had to replace with DMC and one I replaced with a cresent color. I think she will be gorgeous...
Here is what I got done last night: So far, only called for colors have been used.
Now finally, I went and got fabric and thread for Little House Needleworks, The Hillside Travelers yesterday. I couldn't be happier with the fabric color, thrilled actually. Its of the ivory cream family I suppose but its much richer, perfect! The only one they had too. I am going to use DMC only and I can't wait to see how it comes out. :))
So yesterday was a fun day! My small daughter and I went to Michael's and the pet store then to McDonald's and to get groceries. Then last night we had a picnic with my parents in the forest and let the kids play in the river a while. Finished up by getting to start Hope when I got home. Perfect day!!! :)

Nimue Pieces
I love Nimue designs, whimsical pieces that are usually a challenge to do. I am working on 4 of them right now and have stitched Dust of the Fairy twice. I plan to do her again for myself eventually, but for now I have these :)
This one is called Fairies Coprinus and is a fairy standing on a mushroom(I can only assume that Coprinus is French for mushroom but I have never googled it so not sure, lol) She is LOADED with backstitch! I am doing it as I go along otherwise it will be to much at once.
This sweet Elf is Chippie...I am stitching her on a nice blue as opposed to some shade of brown that most of these call for. With her flowers, its just what she wanted. She is an easy one. Not much backstitch and pretty small.
This is maybe my favorite, and the biggest; The Hare and the Postman. I love the realism of the hare and the details on it. I did not buy the kit (i never do) so when the time comes I will be hunting up my own embellishments for this to make the reins and buckles.
This is the Hedgehog...here we have a little Gnome guy riding the hedgehog with his house on its back and a bird hitching a ride. I only have about 4 hours in this so far so its coming along fast. I love the colors!! I plan to look for something to replace the little bells at the craft store.
I pulled this one, Rainbow Birds by Valarie Pfieffer out of my craft box a few weeks ago and have put quite a few hours in it. They are so cute, I cam enjoying stitching each bird, but not looking forward to the grass. ;))
I am kitting up a new one, The Hillside Travelers by Little House Needleworks. I got an irresistible urge to stitch a piece with little houses in it. I am not brave enough to try out a Carriage House piece yet, but I am working up to it i think. I really like the new Farm's of Hawk Run Hollow:
http://carriagehousesamplings.blogspot.com/2011/08/finally-farms-of-hawk-run-hollow-blocks.html
Its great, I like every single block on it. Especially for some reason the apple butter one. :))
Tomorrow is September, wow! I think that's why I am in such a stitchy mood. Fall makes me want to be creative. I am so blessed to have so many great pieces to work on.

HAED updates! :) They are all soo gorgeous!
Blue Beard's Princess done!
I haven't been stitching a lot lately, it comes and goes at times. I am hoping to get back into it this week. I need to, its better for me than facebook games! Right now, I am trying to pick out which one I want to work on.

Stitching updates :)
I have picked up some old projects and added some new ones. The only HAED I work on these days is Ruth Sanderson's Fall Fairy. I love it and want it actually finish it so I put the other ones aside. I also realized that I missed the other kind of stitching I do, so I got back into it over Christmas.
Here is my Fall Fairy. This one is amazing! Its fun to work on, not to much confettie but it is coming out so well, I can hardly wait to get to the big fairy.

This is the cutest little bear ever! Tatty Teddy from a UK magazine. I started him last Christmas and pulled him back out. He is really wintertime, so will be framed and put on the matel for all year long enjoyment.

This is my little finish, and would you believe I found that frame at the dollar tree? I was looking all over for a tiny square frame and couldn't find one and had to go to the dollar tree to help pick out gifts for the Sunday school class I assist with and there it was!

Seaside Cottages by Dimensions on 28ct evenweave:

I also am slipping in a couple other magazine designs, both from UK magazines but haven't made enough progress on either to take pics yet. I went to see New Moon with my sister for my birthday and while we were over that way, I went to Barnes and Noble and got 2 of them, I do that whenever I can. I like them so much better than the US magazines. I wonder why we can't have at least one magazine that is similar to them over here? hmmmmm

Dweezle the Garland Elf
After 3 years of off and on stitching, he is done!!! His face is over one, and there are lots of fractionals, mostly in the garland. He has quite a few beads too, which really added so much to him. I am very happy with him, and to be done with him. :) Just in time for the holidays! He is on 28ct waterlily jobelan and the design is by Lavender Wings.

Now, I am going to tackle Mirabella. I am about a week from being done with her and plan to hang in there until she is complete. Beading little Dweezle got me back into the groove of beading and I feel very ready for her now. I hadn't done any beading in a couple of years.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! God Bless. :)

HAED, Fall Fairy Ruth Sanderson
This piece is gorgeous! I wish you all could see it IRL. But I am loving it and want to finish the first page before I put her down. I am missing my Ravenscroft piece, and I am painfully close to being done with Blue Beard's Princess. My mom said she would get her framed for my b-day, whoo hoo! I haven't finished a Mira for myself in years.
